Turmeric

Turmeric is a perennial herbaceous plant of the ginger family native to tropical South Asia and widely cultivated in India and Southeast Asia. Known as the golden spice it is most famous for its vibrant orange-yellow rhizomes which are used as a culinary spice, a natural dye, and a traditional medicine.
